Summer Mull Boyle
Author
Summer is a copywriter by day and an ice cream consumer by night. She’s a beach bum that converted to mountain living after falling in love with the Wasatch Front. She’s a world traveler, an athlete, a comedian, and a reformed chocolate bully. Living in Chile sparked a deep love of people and cultures which drives her desire to visit every country in the world. All she ever really wanted to be was a mom and was finally blessed with that dream in 2020. She’s a firm believer in miracles and gets to live with her two favorites. As a work-from-home mom, she’s gained a whole new respect for parents everywhere. She’s still trying to figure out how you all do it so well.
Summer wrote We Are Pandas to give pandemic babies and their families a book that celebrates them and the unique world they were born into. She believes laughter is often the best medicine. Even during pandemics.
Maren Adair
Illustrator
Maren is an artist and illustrator who was born and raised in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest. She’s an archaeologist by training and an adventurer at heart. As an enthusiastic hiker and backpacker, she often disappears for days at a time and only reluctantly comes back. Although she has far too many hobbies and interests to fit into one lifetime, she will never stop trying new ones. She has been a ceramics instructor, a comedian, a sheriff’s deputy, a baker, a costume designer, a jury clerk, and a tap dancer. Maren has three energetic children who refuse to hold still or pose for drawings. They are also better than she is at everything, which is a fearsome sight to behold.
Funny Friends
A friendship made in Divine Comedy heaven.
Summer and Maren met in college while writing and performing with a sketch comedy troupe. With time, they became best of friends. Maren is the person that can do it all and do it well. Summer is the person that thinks she can do it all but often has rude awakenings. It doesn't stop her from trying though.
